Personal Statement

I have 10 years of experience in the advertising industry in Bulgaria as part of DDB Worldwide Group. I have been Personal Assistant to the CEO and as part of that role I also filled the positions of Account Executive. I work well under pressure; I am well adjusted to thinking on my feet and making decisions on the spot in order to resolve any immediate issues, which is essential in a fast pace industry that is advertising. As of 2015 I took time off from looking for a career opportunity to concentrate on my family and mostly on my daughter’s adjustment in the United Kingdom. All the efforts to make the transition as smooth as possible, including taking 5 years off from work, proved to be the right decision for as of today she is in the top percentage in her year group at secondary school. In the meantime, I was and still am actively involved with the PTA in her primary and secondary school and I often participate in projects supporting the local community. I believe that the various and dynamic nature of my work history has prepared me to take on any challenge and with enough determination and focus I can be a valuable addition to any workplace. Being a lifelong learner and highly ambitious person, I started my degree in Media and Communication at Kingston University in September 2020. In the course of my first year, I have consistently improved my time management, presentation skills and self-awareness. Within the modules of my degree, I acquired various graduate attributes and worked constantly to develop further my personal ones. This first year gave me an excellent base of knowledge and skills which helped me to improve my analytical, critical and reflective thinking. 

I am keen to start working again, forge new career path for me and learn new things along the way.

Arcon Consult LTD, Sofia, Bulgaria                                                             January 2014 - April 2015 Technical secretary, Account executive in a start-up advertising and digital marketing agency

 

Responsibilities:

  • A start-up company where I incorporated numerous responsibilities. As well as being technical secretary and handling HR in the capacity of composing and posting job ads and handling initial interviews I was also an account executive handling client relation and actively participating in pitching the company at numerous occasions

Responsibilities:

  • Taking care on daily base of all operations in the companies of the CEO (another 3 companies with different business orientation including real estate and property management); monitoring all ongoing deals, due payments and presenting to the CEO solutions to any problems that may appear in the process of work; executing certain level of autonomy in the decision-making process when an urgent situation requires it

  • Taking care of translations and any formal communication of the companies in the form of emails, client meetings and phone calls

  • Preparing statements and contracts, reviewing new contracts, handling contract payments

  • Researching potential new clients and maintaining good client relations with already existing ones

  • Taking care of the preparations for conferences and business meetings on the premises of the complex

  • Working mostly on the Millennium Floor where the boxes for the club sponsors are located; Contact name on daily bases for any questions or request there might be from organisers of meetings, company trainings or any other event on the premises of the boxes, making sure that everything runs smoothly, and no issues occur on behalf of the Conference and Banqueting Department; handling all sorts of organisational matters
